Georgian FM: Georgia ready to support regional peace process between neighbours
“Georgia truly desires to contribute to peace and stability in our region, and we once again express our readiness to facilitate the peace process that is ongoing between our neighbours,” Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated during a joint press conference with her Armenian counterpart in Yerevan.
According to Botchorishvili, Georgia and Armenia collaborate in numerous areas through various formats.
“Today, a truly important meeting will take place in Yerevan—the 14th session of the Georgia-Armenia Economic Cooperation Commission. This is a significant format, underscored by the fact that both prime ministers will lead the session. Members of the Armenian and Georgian governments will also participate, highlighting the close relationship between our countries.
We share common interests and a mutual desire to deepen our ties further. This primarily concerns cooperation in economics, transport, environmental protection, tourism, and various other fields that serve the interests of both nations, enabling us to strengthen and enhance our relationships.
I want to reiterate that Georgia sincerely wishes to contribute to peace and stability in our region. In this regard, we once again express our readiness to facilitate the ongoing peace process between our neighbours,” Botchorishvili stated.
