Georgian and Armenian PMs hold bilateral talks to foster strategic partnership
Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a face-to-face encounter aimed at bolstering the strategic partnership between their countries.
According to the Government of Georgia, the two leaders underscored the significance of the strategic partnership between their nations during their meeting. They also discussed key topics to be addressed at the forthcoming 14th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
“The current regional situation and the progress made in the peace process were emphasized during the meeting. Prime Minister Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian Government’s commitment to promoting dialogue and supporting regional stability and peace, which are vital for the continued development and prosperity of the countries involved,” the statement read.
The leaders also emphasized the ongoing high-level dialogue between the two nations in various formats, as well as their close cooperation across several sectors, which serves to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Additionally, the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission was noted as a crucial step towards expanding trade and economic relations, and fully harnessing the existing potential in this area.
Prime Minister Kobakhidze extended an invitation to Prime Minister Pashinyan for an official visit to Georgia.
