Former President Zourabichvili calls for mass rally: Time to show strength of unity and civic resistance
“Sunday at 8 p.m. is the time for all of us to come out together — party members, activists, parents, NGOs, and individuals who may not be able to protest daily,” former President Salome Zourabichvili said at a briefing.
Zourabichvili emphasized that the rally would demonstrate the strength of unity and civic resistance.
“This has been a difficult week. Very few countries witness so many political prisoners in such a short time. But this isn’t a reason to back down — it’s proof that we are stronger. The fact that platform leaders are behind bars shows how much the regime fears our unity.
We must take one more step forward — a step toward unity. Sunday gives us that chance. To everyone watching what’s happening in Georgia, everyone who understands or feels the direction this country is being taken — this is your moment. I’ll be there, and together we’ll show how strong Georgia’s unity, society, and resistance truly are. This is the only dignified response for a dignified future,” Salome Zourabichvili declared.
