PM Kobakhidze: Saakashvili’s most clear-eyed reflection reveals opposition rally fell flat and was bound to disappoint
“The most lucid appraisal of the rally from within the opposition ranks came from Saakashvili himself. Of course, Saakashvili was left with a sense of inadequacy, because the rally, taken as a whole, had failed, and could not have ended any other way,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze responded to journalists.
The Prime Minister added that whenever Gvaramia, Japaridze, Vashadze, Zourabichvili and their like announce a rally, there is simply no cause for success.
“When Gvaramia, Japaridze, Vashadze, Zourabichvili, people of that sort, announce a rally, there is absolutely no prospect of success whatsoever. Saakashvili’s sense of inadequacy is therefore entirely logical,” the Prime Minister remarked.
Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili wrote on social media yesterday: “The large-scale protest march has nonetheless left me with a sense of inadequacy. The central question went unanswered: what are the next steps? We are looking for the engineers of a revolutionary armoured vehicle.”
