Foreign Relations Committee Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze has met with UK Ambassador to Georgia Gareth Ward.
According to parliament’s press office, the meeting addressed the dynamics of existing relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom, domestic political issues, and the situation in Russia occupied-regions of Georgia.
“The parties discussed regional security issues, emphasizing the impact of Russia’s ongoing aggression in Ukraine on Georgia’s security. The meeting reviewed existing trade and economic relations between the two countries and UK investments. It was noted that Great Britain is one of the main direct foreign investors in Georgia,” reads the press statement.
