Droa's Khoshtaria responds to criminal charges: Thank you to prosecutors for recognising my work

“Yes, I have worked intensively and will continue to work on sanctioning ‘Russian Dream’,” Elene Khoshtaria, leader of the Droa party, wrote on social media.

According to her, she has been and will remain extremely active in the protests.

“Many thanks to the Prosecutor’s Office for recognising my work; I’ve always struggled with self-promotion. Yes, I have worked intensively and will continue to work on sanctioning ‘Russian Dream’. However, you’ve got one thing wrong: it’s not just the past year, I’ve been working against Russia since 2002. Yes, I have been and will remain extremely active in the protests. Write it and read it, you Russians, you won’t survive this.
P.S. Don’t bother worrying about coming to see me in prison, you won’t be worthy of meeting me anyway. Until the end,” Khoshtaria wrote on social media.

At a briefing held at the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze announced that criminal proceedings have been initiated against Mikheil Saakashvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Nika Gvaramia, Nikanor Melia, Zurab Japaridze, Elene Khoshtaria, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze.

The Prosecutor’s Office will apply to the court within the statutory timeframe, requesting bail as a preventive measure for Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, and requesting the scheduling of a pre-trial hearing for the other accused.
