Record export figures were recorded in March 2025, stated the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
According to him, exports reached $566 million, marking an 8.2% increase compared to March 2024. Tsintsadze also noted strong first-quarter performance: exports in January–March 2025 totalled $1.4 billion, up 5.7% year-on-year. In March alone, foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.97 billion, a 12.5% increase over the same period last year.
“A significant increase is also seen in overall foreign trade turnover,” Tsintsadze said.
“In Q1, trade turnover grew by more than 16%, exceeding $5.6 billion. We expect these positive trends to continue in the coming months, confirming the Georgian economy’s resilience amid global challenges and uncertainty.”
He emphasized that the growth in exports reflects the competitiveness of Georgian-made products and signals a general upward trend in foreign trade.
“The current outlook supports a positive forecast for the country’s average economic growth. Our aim is to sustain the high growth trajectory seen in January–February, when average economic growth reached 9.4%. This will help raise incomes, create more jobs, and bring Georgia closer to the living standards of developed countries,” he added.
