Georgia exports 17.3 million litres of wine in Q1, valued at over USD 53 million
In the first three months of this year, Georgia exported 17.3 million litres of wine to 51 countries worldwide, with a total value exceeding USD 53 million, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of wine exports increased by 5%, while the overall value grew by 7%.
Among Georgia’s key export markets, notable growth was recorded in Germany, where exports reached 375,000 litres, making a 32% rise compared to the same period last year.
Exports to the United Kingdom increased by 9%, amounting to 86,000 litres, while wine exports to China saw a 4% rise, reaching 831,000 litres, the ministry added in a statement.
