Azerbaijan confirms 521 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths

Azerbaijan has confirmed new 521 coronavirus cases today, bringing the total number of infected people to 15,890, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

As many as 355 people recovered from the infection, while six coronavirus patients passed away.
So far, a total of 8,719 patients have recovered from the disease, while 193 others died. The treatment of 6,978 people is underway. A total of 461,861 coronavirus tests have been conducted across the country.

Since June 21, the government has tightened the special quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masally, Jalilabad, and the Absheron region. Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a relevant decision on June 19.
