Aleko Elisashvili suggests two-day parliamentary elections

Due to the pandemic, Aleko Elisashvili, the leader of the Citizens party, suggests two-day parliamentary elections – on October 30 and 31.

As Elisashvili says, as the bulk of people will go to the polling stations, this plan aims to avoid the risk of spreading the virus.

Elisashvili noted that the government cannot control the coronavirus situation.

The Citizens addressed the Georgian Parliament with a special statement regarding the initiative.

“We call on both the government and political parties to get involved in this discussion and make this decision,” said Elisashvili.
