Government Administration Head: Within PM' first official visit to Tajikistan, several documents, joint communique signed

During Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s first official visit to Tajikistan, several cooperation documents and a joint communiqué were signed, said Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration.

As Zhorzholiani told Georgian reporters, the PM had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and President of Tajikistan.

“The Georgian Prime Minister continues his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. This is the first official visit by the Head of the Georgian government; therefore, we can call this visit historical. The PM had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and President of Tajikistan. The delegation members had the chance to meet colleague ministers and heads of relevant institutions.

Several documents on cooperation and a joint communique were signed. The documents concern cooperation in the economy, education, sports, and culture. The meeting with the Chair of the Tajik Parliament’s lower chamber is scheduled for today, which will wrap up the official visit,” he said.
