“Our goal is to have a constructive dialogue with the Georgian side, we continue to work together actively,” said Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, following the meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Alain Berset assessed the meeting with the Georgian PM as important, and remarked that the CoE’s role was to “improve contacts.”
Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Prime Minister met Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which takes place from April 11-13.
“Had a productive meeting with H.E. Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe. We discussed Georgia’s ongoing processes, reforms, and the European integration path, highlighting the crucial role of the Council of Europe in supporting these efforts.
I expressed sincere gratitude to the Secretary General for his personal commitment to strengthening our cooperation. We are confident that his continued support, which is of great importance to us, will remain active,” PM wrote on the X Platform.
