Agriculture Minister meets Turkish Ambassador

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Davit Songulashvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay.

According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Turkish Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavours.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed opportunities for deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

“Agriculture plays a significant role in Georgia’s economic development. We are interested in benefiting from Turkey’s experience. The existing friendly and partnership relations between our countries serve as the foundation for effective cooperation,” said Davit Songulashvili.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of diversifying markets for Georgia.

The Turkish Ambassador remarked that the two countries are united by historical friendship and partnership, which provides a strong foundation for expanding cooperation across various sectors.
