“Georgia’s progress, development, peace and stability are significant for Türkiye both for bilateral relations and the regional context,” said Ali Kaan Orbay, Ambassador of Türkiye to Georgia.

According to the Ambassador, since the declaration of independence, Türkiye has taken important steps for development.

“Today, we mark the 102nd anniversary of the declaration of the Republic of Türkiye. This date holds deep significance for us. Over these 102 years, Türkiye has traversed a remarkable path, taking vital steps towards development and progress. With a population of 82 million, Türkiye ranks 16th in the world in terms of economic development. It is a valuable friend and strategic partner for many nations.

Our friendship and strategic partnership with Georgia are particularly important. Türkiye has consistently reaffirmed its unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. These principles are fundamental to our shared future and to further strengthening our bilateral relations.

Georgia’s progress, development, peace, and stability are of great importance to Türkiye, both in the context of our bilateral ties and the broader regional landscape. We have always supported peace and development in Georgia. Currently, around 2,000 Turkish companies operate in Georgia, contributing significantly to your country’s economic growth. Türkiye’s investments in Georgia amount to USD 2.5 billion, further underpinning our commitment to your progress.
