Adjara Prosecutor’s Office detained several acting and former high-ranking officials.

Among them are: former Batumi Mayor Giorgi Ermakov; Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Bagrat Manvelidze; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Archil Vanadze; Batumi Vice-Mayor Tengiz Petridze; Head of Municipal Property and Services Management Service of Batumi City Hall Egarslan Lomadze; Deputy Head of the City Infrastructure and Improvement Division of Batumi City Hall Vladimer Khintibidze; Head of the Procurement Division of Batumi City Hall Beka Khalvashi.

As it was said at the briefing held at the Prosecutor’s Office today, these persons have been detained into the charges of misappropriation of the state funds and abuse of power. The case refers to tender which was conducted in 2015.
