Border Police detain three foreign nationals for illicit border crossing into Georgia

Following operational and investigative efforts in the Adjara region, officers from the Main Operational-Investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) apprehended three foreign nationals, identified as A.I., born in 2005; A.E., born in 1995; and P.Sh., born in 1993, for illegally crossing Georgia’s state border.

The investigation revealed that the individuals concealed themselves in a trailer to illegally cross from the Republic of Türkiye into Georgia.

Legal proceedings are now underway under Part 1 of Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, and immigration procedures will be initiated against them.
