Adjara Government Chair extends Kurban Bayramı greetings to Muslim community

Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, alongside Chairman of the Supreme Council of the region, Tsotne Ananidze, Mayor of Batumi, Giorgi Tsintsadze, and other members of the regional government, extended congratulations to the Muslim community on the occasion of Kurban Bayramı.

Zurab Pataradze emphasised that the holiday is a symbol of charity and solidarity, further reinforcing the enduring friendship and mutual respect that characterise the region’s relationships.

“Today, together with our Muslim brothers and sisters, we celebrate the festival of Kurban Bayrami. This sacred occasion is rooted in charity, love, and solidarity, values that have always distinguished our country and region. The unity and mutual respect within our society are especially meaningful; this was made evident during the recent passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, when our Muslim friends shared our grief and chose not to celebrate Ramadan Bayrami out of solidarity. Such acts reaffirm that our strength lies in standing together and respecting one another,” stated Zurab Pataradze.

The festive prayer was held at the Batumi Central Mosque.
