Government declares May 4-11 days off in Georgia

Interagency Coordination Council, chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, decided to declare May 4-11 days off throughout Georgia. Council held a virtual conference on Friday.

The meeting noted that the increase in COVID-19 cases is remarkable and requires a responsible approach from both the government and the citizens.

Coordination Council recommended employers shift their staff to remote working. The council underlined the need to adhere to regulations to prevent the country from the third wave.

The restriction on movement from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m remains in force.
