European Georgia: Peaceful rallies and pressure on government needed

“It is completely unclear why the parliament keeps the authority of those MPs, who renounced their mandates and rejected to engage in the parliamentary work”, Giga Bokeria, one of the leaders of the European Georgia Party, declared on Friday.

Bokeria believes that the ruling team tries to use this issue for dirty political trade. “Such deal is impossible with any person or politician having minimal self-respect,” he said.

Giga Bokeria warns that the opposition will use all legitimate means when circumstances are more or less favorable. “In particular, legitimate peaceful rallies, internal and international pressure on the government are needed to emerge from this crisis with the early election”, he added.
