Archil Talakvadze vows to work more actively with ODIHR mission

I promise that the Parliament will have the most transparent, democratic standards with regard to each candidate for judges of supreme court, – the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Archil Talakvadze states while commenting on the report of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

“All important questions will be raised, and only after that the parliament will make a decision,”  – the Parliament Speaker noted.

According to Archil Talakvadze, the ruling team respects the recommendations provided by partners and will work more actively with the OSCE / ODIHR mission.

Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) published report on the first phase of the nomination and appointment of supreme court judges in Georgia. The report notes that the process has been characterized by some shortcomings.
