Archil Talakvadze: I do not rule out starting discussions on some structural changes

The Speaker of Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze says that the small government model will be maintained, but he doesn’t rule out starting discussions on some structural changes.

Asked by Georgia’s First Channel whether structural changes are expected in parallel to the government changes, Talakvadze answered that it would not happen now when parliament has to start the procedure of expressing confidence to a renewed government.

“We will maintain the small government model, though I do not rule out that we will start discussing some structural changes. For example, related to the field of culture, however, it requires quite complex legislative and budgetary changes. This cannot happen immediately when the new government is given confidence”, – Archil Talakvadze said.
