UNM's Japaridze: Justice will triumph in Georgia, we will fight for its European future
The leaders of the Unity–National Movement, Sopho Japaridze, Levan Sanikidze, and Igor Narmania, held a briefing today at the Dighomi detention centre regarding the arrest of members of the UNM youth organization near the “Babilo restaurant.
As Sopho Japaridze stated, today the Georgian Dream relies solely on fear and the violence it propagates.
“The primary support of Bidzina Ivanishvili is these unjust, sanctioned judges, who imprison 19-20-year-old, freedom-loving, patriotic young people who adore their homeland, without hesitation. I want everyone to remember that this injustice will come to an end soon. Yesterday, members of the United National Movement youth organization were arrested, alongside other patriotic companions, during a peaceful demonstration. We demand the immediate release of those unjustly arrested. They did not violate any laws yesterday. It is truly absurd to talk about illegality and lawlessness from the so-called government, which is unrecognized both within and outside our country. To the arrested, we stand by you – stay strong. This illegality will soon come to an end. Justice will prevail, and we will fight together for the European future of our country,” stated Sopho Japaridze.
