The Tsitsinatela Park in Shekvetili, Western Georgia, is set to reopen to the public following extensive renovations. Organised by Starring Georgia, large-scale improvements are currently underway, transforming the park into a modern, comfortable space that meets contemporary standards.
According to Starring Georgia, both the exterior and interior facades will be refurbished and repainted; entrances and ticket offices will be upgraded; and all attractions will receive visual, audio, and technological enhancements. Three major attractions are being completely restored, with operational booths being modernised. The Dinosaur Park will be fully revamped with a new concept, offering visitors an enhanced experience.
Three food courts will undergo complete renovation, featuring new tables, chairs, a fresh menu, and updated designs. The karting area will boast a new grandstand and eight brand-new cars. The park will also see the planting of new greenery, creating a larger, more lush green space enclosed by decorative railings spanning a total of two thousand meters.
Additional improvements include restored benches, renewed lanterns, and the construction of two well-equipped smoking areas with modern trash cans. Restrooms will be cleaned and upgraded, and security measures will be intensified to ensure visitor safety. Most importantly, Tsitsinatela Park will be fully accessible to people with disabilities.
The project prioritises local employment, with most workers sourced from the community.
“We purchase locally produced materials, and our work teams are staffed by locals. A qualified local team, with experience from projects like the Black Sea Arena, is handling the design and visual aspects. We also aim to reuse and repurpose existing items and materials whenever possible,” said Tsitsi Iashvili, Manager of Starring Georgia.
Covering 14.5 hectares, Tsitsinatela has operated since 2006. This renovation marks the first project of such a scale in the park’s history, promising a renewed and vibrant space for visitors.
