Traffic restrictions to be imposed in Dariali Gorge on August 13

Traffic restrictions will be imposed in Dariali Gorge on August 13, according to information released by the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

According to the agency, slope clearing operations are planned in Dariali Gorge.

“On the internationally significant Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, specifically on the km126-km130 section (Dariali Gorge), truck and semi-trailer traffic will be restricted from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on August 13, while light vehicle movement will be periodically restricted in 30-minute intervals,” the Roads Department states.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
