Temporary traffic restrictions planned on Giorgi Leonidze and Sulkhan-Saba Streets from April 18
Due to scheduled rehabilitation works, Tbilisi City Hall will restrict traffic in the Mtatsminda district in two phases along Giorgi Leonidze and Sulkhan-Saba streets from April 18.
According to the City Hall, during the first phase, which will last ten days, traffic will be restricted on Giorgi Leonidze Street at its junction with Sulkhan-Saba Street.
“Vehicles will be able to travel from Leonidze Street via Ivane Machabeli, G. Lortkipanidze, and G. Kikodze Streets. Access to Ingorokva Street will be possible from Kikodze Street via Giorgi Leonidze Street,” the announcement states.
During the second phase, traffic will be restricted for 30 days on the section of Sulkhan-Saba Street connecting with Leonidze Street.
“Vehicles will be able to travel via Pavle Ingorokva Street. During the works, public transport services on routes 316, 324, 364, 380, 382, 383, 390, and 408 will be diverted from Giorgi Leonidze Street towards Paolo Iashvili Street via Ivane Machabeli, Mikheil Lermontov, and Giga Lortkipanidze Streets, after which they will resume their scheduled routes,” the statement notes.
The restrictions are connected to the rehabilitation of historic buildings on Sulkhan-Saba and Pavle Ingorokva Streets, with works due to commence on April 17.
