Traffic restrictions introduced on several highways due to heavy snowfall

According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, traffic restrictions have been imposed on several sections of national highways due to heavy snowfall.

On the Kutaisi (Tskaltubo bypass)–Tskaltubo–Tsageri–Lentekhi–Lasdili highway, traffic is restricted on the km42–km125 section (Ofitara–Mele). Only high-clearance vehicles with two or more driving axles are permitted to travel, while the movement of other types of vehicles is temporarily prohibited.

Traffic remains unrestricted on the km1–km42 section of the same highway (Tskaltubo bypass–Opitara).

In addition, similar restrictions apply to the Alpana–Tsageri highway on the km1–km22 section (Orbeli Pass), where only high-clearance vehicles with two or more driving axles are allowed to operate.

The Roads Department urges drivers to exercise caution and follow updated traffic regulations during adverse weather conditions.
