Tbilisi Mayor: 14 years of GD policy delivered peace, stability, and protection of national interests
April 21, 2012 marked the beginning of a new stage in Georgia’s political life. The political union Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia, founded by Bidzina Ivanishvili, together with the Georgian people, succeeded in defeating the former political regime and played a decisive role in shaping a turning point in the country’s development, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze wrote on a social network.
According to Kaladze, the result of the 14-year policy of Georgian Dream is peace, economic stability, the protection of the state and citizens’ interests, as well as the safeguarding of the Georgian Church, traditions, and culture.
“The establishment of Georgian Dream was not merely the emergence of a new political force, but the expression of the Georgian people’s demand for a peaceful and stable future, and for a state where the will of the citizens is decisive.
Georgian Dream transformed this mandate into a consistent policy direction and guiding principle, crediting its founder, Bidzina Ivanishvili, for a major contribution to this process.
Peace, economic stability, the inviolability of the interests of the state and society, and the protection of the Georgian Church, traditions, and culture—these are the results of the 14-year policy of Georgian Dream,” Kaladze wrote.
He also congratulated the Georgian Dream team and its supporters on the anniversary, thanking them for their loyalty to the country.
