Tbilisi public transport to run late for YE concert

“The Tbilisi Metro and selected bus routes will extend their operating hours for the upcoming concert by American rapper Kanye West (YE) at the Dinamo Arena on June 12,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced during today’s municipal government meeting.

The Mayor added that traffic restrictions will also be put in place on the streets surrounding the Dinamo Arena on the day of the event.

“On June 12, the world-renowned American rapper Kanye West (YE), who has a massive fanbase both within Georgia and internationally, is scheduled to perform at the Dinamo Arena. To ensure seamless travel for concertgoers, the Tbilisi Metro, as well as buses operating in the vicinity, will run on extended schedules, serving passengers until 2:00 am on June 13.

As for road traffic, restrictions will be introduced on the streets around the stadium from 7:00 am on June 12. The initial closures will impact Slava Metreveli and Giorgi Tsabadze streets, restricting traffic approaching the main entrances of Dinamo Arena. During these closures, drivers will be diverted via adjacent streets,” Kakha Kaladze stated.

According to the Mayor, detailed information regarding alternative routes will be published shortly on the Tbilisi City Hall website and its official social media channels.
