Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader vows to fight for victory through unity, resistance, and steadfastness

“In our hands lie unity, resistance, and steadfastness to fight to the end and achieve victory,” declared Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party, during a meeting with party members at their office ahead of the court’s upcoming decision.

Vashadze described the court ruling as “a matter of time in the regime’s hands.”

“Our unity, resistance, and steadfastness are our tools to fight until the end and secure victory. I am confident that, united, we will prevail. The imprisonment of certain individuals is irrelevant; the Georgian Dream keeps the entire country captive. We are fighting for Georgia’s liberation,” he stated.

Vashadze also criticized the regime’s weakness.

“The regime relies on violent tactics—arrests, retribution, fines—to demonstrate power. It has no other options. The deeper it sinks, the closer it moves toward deadlock. Our partners will take steps, and significant changes are imminent. I ask you to stay united,” he urged.

Former President Salome Zourabichvili and civil activist Paata Burchuladze visited the Strategy Aghmashenebeli office.

The Tbilisi City Court has sentenced Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party, to seven months imprisonment for failing to comply with demands from Parliament’s temporary investigative commission investigating the activities of the 2003-2012 government and its officials. He has also been barred from holding public office for a period of two years.
