“We will convene on May 26, join us in Tbilisi and see how many people we will speak to,” Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, told reporters.

According to Vashadze, the May 26 public gathering will be peaceful.

“We know that the Georgian Dream is nervous, but we will have a peaceful, large gathering. Our task is to fulfill the historic mission: Push Georgia forward onto a peaceful path, make it an EU member and unite society. The Georgian Dream aims to divide and cause conflicts. We will not let them succeed.

Therefore, on May 26 at 7 p.m., we invite everyone to Rustaveli Avenue. We walk along Tbilisi every day, follow me from Wednesday and you will see how many things we are doing, how many people will greet us. Unlike them (government officials), we will have no security guards, and no barriers will be installed around us. We will be walking among people as I stand here right now,” he said.
