According to Vashadze, the detention of UNM’s Levan Khabeishvili on absurd charges makes it clear that the regime is aware of its own fragility and recognises it lacks support within society.

“Levan Khabeishvili is one of our most prominent and courageous leaders. His arrest today on completely ridiculous charges starkly reveals that the regime itself is conscious of its weakness and has no backing among the people. Peaceful and just change remains the power and the choice of our nation. The struggle does not end. On 4 October, we must all show the regime that Georgia truly belongs to the Georgian people.
