Salome Zourabichvili: My goal not opposition's unification but strong coordination, which withstands everything

“My goal has never been the unification of the opposition, I must say once and for all, unification means that we are preparing for the one-party rule,” former President Salome Zourabichvili stated in an interview with the Georgian Alliance of Regional Broadcasters.

According to Zourabichvili, unity is a topic sent from outside, which is unattainable.

“I am preparing, and I am quite optimistic in this direction, for strong coordination. Strong coordination is what withstands everything, and false unification is the most vulnerable.

We want strong coordination not only of political parties, but also of this society, which is leading this protest today and which should have its place in this coordination;

Also, the businesses that today, in their way, are helping this protest movement. Everyone who is involved, every segment of this society should participate in this coordination with their means so that we can truly expand the social struggle,” she added.
