Prime Minister of Georgia Meets President of Kyrgyz Republic

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the Government Administration, during the expanded meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Bishkek, the PM thanked President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the warm hospitality and emphasized the importance of high-level visits for the further development of bilateral relations. The parties discussed the existing potential for deepening cooperation across various sectors.

“Mr. President, irrespective of the long-standing ties between our peoples and countries, this is the first visit at the top level between our two states. We sincerely hope that this visit will provide a new impetus to strengthening relations between our countries. Georgia and Kyrgyzstan enjoy positive political and economic relations and there is considerable potential for their further enhancement. We are eager to expand cooperation not only in the political and economic spheres, but also in culture and education. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you and your country for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,”stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

President of the Kyrgyz Republic highlighted the significance of the official visit paid by the Head of Government of Georgia.

“Mr. Prime Minister, your official visit marks a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations. I am confident that today’s meeting will contribute to the further strengthening of our political, economic, humanitarian and cultural ties. Under your leadership, Georgia has implemented important socio-economic reforms. We express our readiness to deepen cooperation in trade, economic and infrastructure sectors, as well as within international formats and to benefit from Georgia’s successful experience. I am confident that today’s discussions will yield concrete practical results,” stated the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting also underscored the potential for partnership in the transport and logistics sectors, with both sides expressing readiness to deepen cooperation in these areas.

Following the meeting, a number of memoranda of cooperation were signed between the two countries in various fields. Prime Minister of Georgia and President of the Kyrgyz Republic also signed a Joint Statement reaffirming the parties’ commitment to further developing bilateral relations across a wide range of sectors.
