“On December 14, 2023, Georgia was granted the Status of Candidate to the EU. In one year, the one party rulers have taken all possible steps against the EU path to finally abort it,” Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili wrote on social media.

According to her, Georgians remain steadfast in their commitment to the European Union.

“On December 14, 2023, Georgia was granted the Status of Candidate to the EU. In one year, the one party rulers have taken all possible steps against the EU path to finally abort it. Law after law, Georgia is being turned into Russia. But Georgians will not surrender!” the President wrote.
