The Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Presidential Administration announced.
According to the Administration, the meeting focused on prospects for deepening and developing the existing friendly, partnership, and economic relations between the two countries across various areas.
President Kavelashvili emphasised that the model of friendship and close cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan is exemplary, founded on trust, mutual respect, equality, and consideration of each country’s national interests. He also expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for its unwavering support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“I had a very productive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. As you know, Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners. We collaborate on many important projects and share agreements on numerous issues. In the economic sphere, we are planning to implement several interesting projects. Our relations with Azerbaijan are exemplary, and I am confident they will continue to strengthen and develop,” said the President.
President Kavelashvili noted that Georgia remains firmly committed to establishing long-term, sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus and is ready to continue contributing to this process as necessary.
