President Kavelashvili submits four nominations to Parliament for NBG Board membership

During today’s Parliamentary Bureau session, the Georgian President, Mikheil Kavelashvili, formally submitted his nominations for four vacant positions on the Board of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) to Parliament for consideration, as announced by Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Papuashvili, the Finance and Budget Committee will carefully examine the candidates put forth by the President.

“The matter at hand concerns the individuals nominated by President Kavelashvili for the vacant positions on the Board of the National Bank of Georgia.

Notably, there are four vacant seats, and the President has proposed a slate of candidates: Vakhtang Burkiashvili, Otar Shamugia, Nino Jeladze, and Levan Dzneladze. The nomination will be referred to the Finance and Budget Committee for deliberation and consideration,” stated Shalva Papuashvili.
