Law enforcement authorities removed opposition figures Nika Melia and Gigi Ugulava during a scuffle at the exit of Tbilisi.
The situation became tense as demonstrators attempted to block the road, which was halted by law enforcement authorities on the scene.
Earlier, the police had urged the protesters to walk in a way that would not block the road.
