According to the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Tax Monitoring Department have already written off damages exceeding GEL 300,000 in goods and material assets for those affected by the recent fire at Station Square Market.

“The affected entrepreneurs can submit an application through the authorised portal of the Revenue Service to request the write-off of goods and material values lost or destroyed due to force majeure. Once received, the destroyed goods and assets will be officially written off within 10 working days, without any service fee,” the Revenue Service explains.

Furthermore, the Revenue Service emphasises that this relief measure spares affected individuals from incurring tax liabilities on the destroyed tangible assets.
