“If Salome Zourabichvili uses her resources to overcome differences of opinion and achieve unity, we welcome this,” stated Salome Samadashvili, a member of the Lelo opposition party.

According to Samadashvili, this is precisely why Lelo has been actively participating and collaborating in the format coordinated by Zourabichvili since its founding.

“I absolutely share Salome Zourabichvili’s call for unity, however, it must be said that unity can only be achieved when there is a clear path, a unified action plan,” Samadashvili noted.

“As it appears, the opposition spectrum today needs even more time to determine what path of struggle it intends to take and how the fight against the Russian regime will look, as differences of opinion still exist regarding this matter.

We understand that we can achieve the release of political prisoners and defeat the Russian regime only through broad public unity, and Lelo has always been a supporter of unity,” she added.
