Kazakh Agriculture Minister says his country plans to increase agricultural exports to Georgia
Led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, a Georgian delegation is on an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the visit, expanded format negotiations were held with government members from both countries participating.
“We are interested in increasing agricultural exports to Georgia and bilateral cooperation. Soon, we plan to visit Georgia and meet with Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili,” stated Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov in an interview with the international news agency “Kazinform,” where he discussed future cooperation prospects with the Georgian side.
As the minister noted, Kazakhstan plans to increase both the range and volume of export products to Georgia.
“In 2024, Kazakhstan’s agricultural and food exports to Georgia increased by 12.3% compared to the previous year, reaching a value of 71 million dollars. Important agreements were signed between the two countries in 2024, including the initiation of veterinary certificate issuance, which will facilitate the export of meat products to Georgia,” stated Aidarbek Saparov.
