Kaupo Kand – Investigation of August war is in active phase

Kaupo Kand, Head of the International Criminal Court mission to Georgia says that investigation into the August 2008 Georgia-Russia war is in active phase though the information about its details is limited to the public because of confidentiality.

“All aspects of the investigation should remain confidential due to fairness of the process and security of people,” Kand told Georgian First Channel.

The representation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) was opened in Georgia in December of 2017. The delegation of ICC is currently visiting Georgia.
