Infrastructure Ministry to built memorial in Shovi to honor victims of 2023 disaster
The Georgian Ministry of Infrastructure said a memorial will be constructed in Shovi to honor the memory of those perished during the 2023 disaster.
Georgian Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze inspected the construction process on-site, accompanied by Georgian Parliament member Gocha Enukidze and State Representative of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Papuna Margvelashvili.
“The project is funded by the local budget and is scheduled for completion in August 2025.
The Ministry of Infrastructure’s Roads Department plans to construct and rehabilitate two bridges leading to Shovi that were damaged as a result of the disaster,” the Ministry said.
