The 2025 Honorary Citizens of Tbilisi were officially recognized at a solemn ceremony held at the State Palace of Ceremonies.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze presented each recipient with a symbolic key to the city and a certificate of honorary citizenship.
This year’s honorary citizens include distinguished figures from various fields: Zurab Turmanidze (physician, surgeon); Tinatin Mgvdliashvili (poet, artist); Jenaro Kristesashvili (physician-reproductive specialist); Nodar Chkhartishvili (biologist, scientist); Bakur Kiguradze (architect, scientist); Otar Gabelashvili (engineer, mining geologist); Givi Chichinadze (engineer, singer, politician); Tengiz Gugeshashvili (surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences); Goga Pipinashvili (theater and film actor); Tomzir Tsomaia (athlete, gymnast); Tina Mgaloblishvili (announcer, actress); Davit Evgenidze (composer, pianist); Zura Abashidze (diplomat, scientist); Archil Gogelia (fencer, journalist); Teimuraz Chigogidze (urologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences); Vladimer (Vakhtang) Vepkhvadze (publisher); Giorgi Burjanadze (Georgian theater and film actor); Lauz (Rezo) Chanishvili (choreographer-choreologist, Doctor); Nugzar Kvashal (singer, Honored Artist of Georgia); Roman (Roma) Rtskhiladze (musician, composer, singer); Tinatin Bukia (doctor, teacher, Doctor of Medical Sciences); Nodar Mitagvaria (biologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences); Nanuli Abesadze (singer); Manana Todadze (singer, actress); Nanuli Sarajishvili (film and theater actress); Leila Mumladze (musician, teacher); Tamaz Molashvili (musician); Nikoloz Shengelaia (artist); Malkhaz Dolidze (Chairman of the Union of Bakery Manufacturers, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor); Jimi Kipiani (lawyer).
The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended the ceremony.
