Registration for Tbilisi summer kindergardens opens on June 8

“Registration for children in Tbilisi summer nurseries will open at 10:00 on June 8,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced during a Tbilisi municipal government meeting.

According to the Mayor, 54 nurseries will operate over the summer, accommodating up to 19,500 children.

“I would like to update you on the registration for the Tbilisi City Hall social project, ‘Summer Nurseries’.

As you know, the academic year in nurseries finishes on June 30, and the summer kindergardens will operate throughout the entire month of July. This year, 54 summer nurseries will open across Tbilisi, catering to approximately 19,500 children.

Registration will take place online via the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency website (www.kids.org.ge). It will open at 10:00 on June 8 and remain open until June 21 inclusive,” the Mayor stated.

He further noted that the project is available to children aged 2 to 6, who are already registered in Tbilisi nurseries, including those graduating this September.

“We have been running this social project for years. Demand for summer nursery services is always high, as many working Tbilisi residents are unable to leave the city in July.

Furthermore, this project is vital for nursery staff, as they will receive additional pay for working over the summer. This year, 3,900 employees will be working in the summer nurseries,” Kakha Kaladze said.
