 Heavy rain damaged the administrative building of Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital [Photos]

The heavy rain entered the administrative building of Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital and damaged part of the infrastructure, documentation, and medical equipment.

As the representatives of the medical institution say, the owner of the clinic, company “Aversi” started repairing the roof of the administrative building in January, removed the half part of the roof and later, when the clinic started receiving patients infected with coronavirus, it was covered with waterproof material.

As Shota Gogichaishvili, the executive director of the clinic told First Channel this material failed to restrain heavy rain.

According to Gogichaishvili, half of the building has been damaged, including the inventory, patients’ stories, laboratory.

As a reminder, the buildings and territory of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Clinic are owned by Aversi since 2009.

The works are underway to allocate a new building for the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.
