GPB to be proud to broadcast 2020 Paralympics in Georgia

Tomorrow Tokyo will host the 16th Summer Paralympic Games, following the Summer Olympics.

Georgian Public Broadcaster’s First Channel will broadcast the 2020 Paralympic Games for the first time in the country.

“Getting the right to air the Paralympic Games took a long time. The Paralympics is a great occasion on First Channel as creating an inclusive environment is paramount both in the organization and on all our platforms. I am proud that First Channel will offer this sports festival for the first time in Georgia, and I am sure that we will have many victories together,” said GPB Director General Tinatin Berdzenishvili.

2020 Summer Paralympic Games are scheduled between August 24-September 5, 2021, in Tokyo, Japan. First Channel will air the opening ceremony on August 24 at 15:00.
