Government to present higher education reform concept to public shortly
The Georgian government will present a concept for higher education reform to the public shortly.
The very issue was discussed today at the government commission meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The document will be reviewed with field specialists, university leadership, and business sector representatives for further improvement, after which the final document will be presented to the wider public.
According to the government’s press office, the concept addresses issues that will resolve challenges facing the higher education system over the next several years.
As the Prime Minister noted at the meeting, the concept will enable the country to improve higher education quality and create a system where young people can receive European-quality higher education in Georgia.
Work on the higher education reform concept has been ongoing for several months.
