The inflation rate reached 9. 9 % in June in Georgia year-on-year, the National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.
The 2.7 % rise in prices was observed in housing, utility fees, natural gas, maintenance, taxes, entertainment sectors. Books, newspapers, stationery, audio/video/photography and restaurants/hotel services prices went high.
The cost of some food products, including vegetable oil, vegetables, sugar, fish, meat, bread, non-alcoholic beverages, mineral water, natural juices, coffee and tea, increased. Fruits, grapes, cheese and eggs went down in price.
