Four opposition parties demand release of detained protesters, new elections
Four opposition political parties are releasing a joint statement and demanding the release of those detained during the protests and the scheduling of new elections.
“To resolve the crisis, the winning political parties of the 2024 October parliamentary elections demand the immediate release of all unlawfully detained political prisoners arrested during protests and terminate all cases against them;
Schedule new elections to be conducted by a new, independent election administration and held under conditions of political neutrality of law enforcement agencies!
Georgia’s victory for freedom is inevitable,” the statement reads, which was published on the United National Movement’s Facebook page.
