First University Clinic Director: Tornike Rizhvadze's condition shows positive dynamics
The Director of the First University Clinic, Levan Ratiani, has announced that the health condition of former Adjara Government Chairman Tornike Rizhvadze is characterized by “positive dynamics.”
According to Ratiani, “the traumatic-hemorrhagic shock has been resolved, mechanical ventilation parameters have been simplified, and treatment continues according to protocol.”
“He is contactable, adequate, and performs simple tasks. The treatment continues per the protocol,” Ratiani stated.
Tornike Rizhvadze was admitted to Sagarejo Geohospital following a gunshot wound on July 7. He was subsequently transferred to the First University Clinic for specialised care. An investigation into Rizhvadze’s case has been launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to incitement to suicide.
Additionally, Aleksi Akhvlediani, head of the Maritime Transport Agency, has been detained as a suspect in connection with the case. Akhvlediani is being held under Article 238 of the Criminal Code, which addresses negligent storage of a firearm.
